Our  chefs are passionate about getting you involved in the cooking process, further inspiring you to strengthen your skills in the kitchen. With a wide array of classes from bread making to sharpening your knife skills, we’ve got endless possibilities to choose from.  Our classes range from demonstration style to hands-on.

Summer is here and you know what that means…Rosé!! Grab a friend and join us for a fun (and Rosé) filled evening as we explore everyone’s favorite summer sipper.  This class will feature three Rosé wines from three different countries.  As you enjoy the wines and nibble on charcuterie, local wine enthusiast, Jen Hinson, will discuss the similarities and differences of the three featured wines, the flavors and aromas that are typically found in Rosé, how Rosé wines are made, and what foods pair well with pink.  This class will inspire you to spend the summer exploring the wonderful world of Rosé!

MIXOLOGY - BOURDBON &VODKA

Have you ever gone to 2 different restaurants, ordered your favorite classic cocktail, and not gotten the same drink? Have you ever ordered a cocktail, loved it, but then never been able to get it just right at home? If you answered yes to either of those questions, this is the class for you! Jean Paul, The Gypsy Bartender, is here to walk you through some wonderful classic cocktails using different types of bourbon and of course other vodka based classics. Not to worry, even though this is a demonstration class, you will have plenty of opportunity to come and try your hand at mixing some of the drinks! And as always, you will have a personal meat and cheese plate to snack on while class is in session.

KIDS CLASS - HOMEMADE PIZZA & ICECREAM

JULY 10 12PM-2PM

Limit 12 kids

Does your kiddo love to come and help you in the kitchen? Are they adventurous eaters? This is the class for them! Leave your kiddos with Chef Ceci to show them how to make easy homemade pizza dough and an easy and fun way to make some soft serve in a ziplock bag. This is a hands-on class, so the kids will get to volunteer to help the chef make the dough for the pizza they will be enjoying for lunch. But that’s not all! They will also get to roll out their own small pizza, and top it, to bring home to bake. Don’t forget about the ice cream! Your kids will get to shake up some vanilla soft serve, with customized toppings, to enjoy after pizza! We understand each kiddo is different, but ask that you abide by our age requirements of being between the ages of 8 and 12.

SOURDOUGH CLASS

Join us for Sourdough Basics. In this class you will learn all the tools, techniques and ingredients needed to make delicious sourdough from home. We will be demonstrating how to make sourdough, a great way to enjoy it, as well as how to successfully make your sourdough starter. By the end of the class, you will know how to make bread in an easy and approachable way, and you will get to leave with your own starter!

BASICS OF PASTA MAKING

Join us at Brown's Kitchen for a morning of pasta making! Chef Ceci will walk you through the stages of making 2 kinds of pasta dough, creating the pasta with our pasta maker, and serving it with quick and flavorful sauces. Because this is a demonstration class, she will have the different stages of the dough prepared for attendees to feel the proper consistency to be able to hone their craft at home!

It’s summer and these are the perfect drinks to make by the beach, pool, river, or just your backyard. ASIAN PANTRY STAPLES

Lauded is one of the healthiest, and tastiest, cuisines in the world, Bridget will show you a few tips and techniques that will take your cooking to the next level. Asian cuisine is all about balance, using the 5 universally accepted basic tastes to their fullest potential. Then put these techniques to good use in the delicious Tom Yum Soup. A little sweet, a little salty, a little tangy, this dish is complex in the way these flavors work together in this delicious broth. Learn what it takes to create that “take-out” flavor and start to understand why these same principles apply to other styles of cuisine as well! You will get to see these tips and tricks applied in an easy vegetable stir fry paired with the oh so hard to make sticky rice!

SUMMER INSPIRED OUTDOOR DISHES

Summertime is the perfect time to enjoy your meals out on the patio, and the warm weather just screams to use the grill. In this class, Chef Ceci aims to show you some wonderful fresh flavors, while prepared in the Brown’s Kitchen, are really wonderful for an open flame! She’ll walk you through the prep and show you how to adapt to indoor cooking (just in case of rain!). The most important part of this class is to introduce you to some fun fresh flavor pairings that embrace seasonal produce.

Rum is far more intricate than most people realize, with wonderful and unique flavor profiles, you will get to learn how to properly pair and mix these different varietals. By the end of this class, you will have all the knowledge you need to create delicious, spiced rum cocktails as well as white rum. And of course, you will get the opportunity to mix some yourself! Join us August 5th to learn what ingredients and techniques are needed to master gluten free baking. In this class, Pastry Chef Autumn will go over the best gluten free alternatives while also showing you how to turn classic desserts into gluten free treats! The desserts will include chocolate chunk cookies, tart blackberry cobbler, and rich vanilla bean cheesecake. The best part, you will get to enjoy all of them!

BACON, BACON, & MORE BACON!

If you love bacon or are just looking for more ways to use it in your cooking, this is the class for you! We had a lot of bacon requests and Chef Ceci is so excited for this one. The goal of this class is to not only incorporate the bacon itself into dishes, but layer in and infuse the flavor. Not to mention, use bacon in ways you may not expect!

Menu: Bacon infused Bloody Mary with candied bacon, Carbonara with bacon infused pasta, Spinach and bacon salad with a warm bacon vinaigrette, Bacon jam over vanilla ice cream

ADVANCED CAKE DECORATING

Join us August 21st to learn how to make a beautiful floral basket weave design. We will provide all the tools and techniques needed to create this look as well as go over how to make the American buttercream we will use. Each class member will have their own Styrofoam cake dummy to practice on and the recipes needed to do it at home! And no worries, even though the cake you will practice on is Styrofoam we will still be providing a yummy slice of cake for you to enjoy! The cake pictured here is the cake design you will be learning to make!
