Have you ever wanted to make artisan bread at home? If so, come Join us here at Browns and learn the secrets of successful bread making from Zack, Owner of Brandt Bread’s. Zack will show you how to make delicious, handcrafted focaccia and baguettes. In this class, participants will learn how to mix, shape and decorate/score each bread. During the class each participant will get to enjoy a sampling of bruschetta and focaccia.

Love Kombucha? Always wanted to learn how to make your own, but don’t know where to start? Then this is the class for you! Michaela, the owner of Tally Kombucha, will teach you all the tips and tricks to making kombucha at home. Michaela will go over all the ingredients and equipment you will need to get started as well as the step-by-step process to ferment your first batch.

Each class attendee will receive a kombucha starter to begin their own Kombucha journey. Michaela will also bring a selection of Kombucha and Tea that you will be able to purchase before or after the class.

THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF ROSE

Summer is coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean you need to shelve the rosé! Rosé is a great addition to our favorite fall festivities (college football, anyone?) and is a versatile and yummy pairing with many of our favorite fall foods.  This class will feature three rosé wines, including a sparkler! Each rosé will be paired with tasty seasonal treats for you to enjoy as local wine educator, Jen Hinson, WSET Level 2, talks all things pink.  The class will also include a brief history of rosé wines including how long it's been around, how it's made and many other fun facts that just might convince you to explore the wonderful world of rosé all year long!

Back to school season is here and there is no better way to celebrate than by decorating some cookies! In this two hour, hands on class the Cookie Mommas will show you all the tips and tricks to decorating amazing royal icing sugar cookies. Each person will have 6 blank, back to school inspired cookies to create designs with royal icing. Each person will also get to take home a scribe and the recipes for the cookie dough and royal icing. You will leave this class with new decorating techniques and some amazing cookies to share with friends and family!

Calling all oyster lovers! Come learn the intricacies of oysters from the best of the best. This class will be taught by Justin Timineri, State of Florida Chef and Culinary Ambassador, and Florida oyster Farmer and oyster aficionado Deborah Keller. The class will begin with OysterMom taking a deep dive into the practice of oyster farming and shucking. Chef Justin will then showcase 4 delicious ways to enjoy oysters. Each class attendee will get to enjoy 2 of each style of oyster as well as take home the recipes to be able to make them at home!

PASTA FROM SCRATCH

Join us here at Browns for an evening all about pasta! Chef Arda, Pasta Director at Il Lusso, will be showing you how to make pasta dough, how to use a pasta rolling machine as well as how to cut/shape pasta. Arda will then go into how to fill, store, boil and serve fresh pasta. Not only will you learn how to make delicious pasta, you will also learn how to prepare a classic pan sauce to finish off the dish. Each class attendee will get to enjoy some of the pasta prepared as well as take with them the recipes to be able to make it at home!

BOARDS & BITES: A WINE AND CHEESE EXPERIENCE

Come enjoy an evening of delicious foods and wine here at Browns Kitchen. Mairin Moore from Hummingbird Wine Bar will be demonstrating how to arrange and build a beautiful charcuterie board using a gourmet selection of meats, cheeses and accoutrements. Mairin will be discussing different cheese selections, flavor pairings, board arrangements, and hosting tips. The class will also include a wine pairing in which each class attendee will enjoy 2 tasting pours of different wines. By the end of the class you will be able to master the art of charcuterie boards as well as enjoy some of the party board prepared by Mairin!

CAKE DECORATING FOR BEGINNERS

SEPTEMBER 15TH, 6PM-8PM,  HANDS ON STYLE

Join us to learn the basics of cake decorating with a modern twist. In this class, Niki, Owner of Alchemy Baking Co., will show you the tools and techniques needed to fill a cake, crumb coat a cake, and achieve a smooth final coat. Niki will then show how to apply a chocolate drip and some basic piping skills for a finished look. Each person will get their own 6-inch, 2-layer chocolate cake as well as the supplies and workspace to be able to follow along. By the end of the class, you will leave with a new set of skills, the cake you decorated, and the recipes for the cake and icing.
