Join us to learn the basics of cake decorating and create a fun, whimsical, unicorn cake. Come on your own or bring your young baking enthusiast along with you. This would be a great opportunity to gift mom with some one on one time for Mother's Day. In this class Niki, owner of Alchemy Baking Co., will show you the tools and techniques needed to fill a cake, crumb coat a cake, and achieve a smooth final coat. Niki will then demonstrate how to use both fondant and buttercream to create a unicorn design. Each person will get their own 6 inch, 2 layer vanilla cake as well as the supplies and workspace to be able to follow along. By the end of the class you will leave with a new set of skills, the cake you decorated, and the recipes for the cake and icing. (Adult ticket must be purchased for child to attend. Please add childrens ticket to cart if you are bringing a child. Limit one child per adult.)

Class Cancellations
Due to limited seating, we request that you cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled class. This gives us the opportunity to fill the seat(s). To cancel, please call (850) 385-5665. If you have to cancel your reservation, we will provide either a refund or a store credit via gift card. You may use the store credit towards any future class or products in the store. However, if you do not cancel prior to the 48 hours, we cannot offer a refund.

Waitlist Policy
If the class you are interested in attending is sold out, please fill out the "Email Me When Available" form which can be found beneath the "Sold Out" symbol for the class. The waitlist does not guarantee a seat and available seats are first come first serve. You will receive an email if a seat becomes available.
Browns Kitchen is the only retailer in Tallahassee that carries Nora Fleming. We have a wide selection of stoneware, melamine, and maple serveware. We also carry Nora's adorable interchangeable minis, including the licensed FSU, UF, and UA football helmets.

Knife Sharpening
Browns Kitchen offers knife sharpening at 75¢ per inch of the blade. We are able to sharpen most kitchen knives, including serrated blades. We are unable to sharpen scissors, pocket knives, and ceramic blades. When you bring your knives in, a team member will do a brief knife consultation where they examine the knife brand, style, and existing condition to assess if we are able to sharpen your knives using our equipment. We try our best to have a 24 hour turnaround time, but it can take up to 48 hours.
